New Beginnings........

With the past year my love of opening a shop was on my mind again. It's been a dream to open a small shop with lots of wares that you don't come across in these mall type stores. The end of November I opened a pop up shop to see what interest was out there and get a small taste of my dream.  It was a lot of hard work, late nights, mixed emotions etc. but I loved it.  So I am hoping to come up with a new concept this year and I am still working on what that might be.  I am taking a vacation for two weeks and my plan is to jump back on here, jazz it up and put a shop to it - fingers crossed - when I get back. Looking forward to what 2014 has install for me and this little place. I hope you hang around. xx

WELCOME!!!!! As you can see I have taken quite a long break from here, wow........where has the time gone. As I look back to my last post it's amazing to see how much my life has changed. I was on a high back then but suddenly came crashing down when I lost my mother in a accident that was out of our control. More recently we lost another great man, my father-in-law which I still cannot talk about without tears streaming down my face.

BUT onto lighter things. It's a brand new day of a brand new year and I am making changes in my life that I hope turn into a positive thing for myself and for my family. Baby steps with most but hopefully they will all work out throughout the New Year. One big move was to get off Instagram and move back here. I think I needed that just so I can be ME!!! Does that make sense? I hope some of my girls follow me here, just trying to change things up and find a new direction for my business. Lets see where this journey takes me and I hope you take it with me........xxxxx

Melbourne is still turning on the weather charm and I am feeling very lucky to have the day off to enjoy it. The nights are getting cooler and darker earlier, so I am going to enjoy every last minute of what's left over from summer. Although I do love autumn and all that it brings and all the gorgeous colours of the leaves that you see on many road trips. Today also marks the first day of school break and at 11.11am, my school girl is still in dream land....she told me not to wake her today but I want to get the day started and not waste it. I have done all the washing I needed to do and it's basking in the sun, I have done my walk which keeps this 40 something body upgraded (trying anyhow)....I am waiting!!! What else, mmmm let me think. We are taking a short trip to Sydney over Easter and as much as I am looking forward to it, I do get anxious when it comes to packing. I hate it, would rather pay someone to come and do it for me - wouldn't that be nice. I hate trying to co-ordinate matching outfits with limited items and you always end up not taking the right shoes. I have a big trip coming up in July and I know I will be freaking out trying to get organised for that one. But it will be nice to go away with the family minus one boy who seems to think he is now too old to hang with his family. Not cool at all. I want those days back when they were small. They were so much more adorable back then. Anyway's - I will go and find something else to do ...until next time....enjoy your weather.

With love.....

This girl, out of the goodness of her heart stayed up late last night and baked cupcakes to bring to school today......a few of her girlfriends decided to raise money for Haiti. They all baked and made crafts to sell at school without any prompting from teachers, parents or community. It was just something they thought of at lunch time one day. She didn't think the cupcakes would sell but when I picked her up from school all the containers where empty....and I was even told that people where buying them for more than what she was selling them for. I love this kid and all that she stands for. She has a beautiful heart and I pray this stays with her forever. You make your mother proud kid.

We are planning a trip to this gorgeous city by the bay. I can hear the song now and I can't wait. We will be visiting here, San Francisco and then Vancouver and then down to Los Angeles for a visit with friends. The fantastic thing is that I get to share this with my daughter and we are going because we got a gorgeous invite to attend a wedding. How can you not go??? So, so excited. Lots to plan and it's only a few months away............so lucky.
